Playback And Editing

I have a Sony CCD TRV HI 8 that I purchased. At one time I had a cassette adapter that would allow me to convert my tapes to regular VCR tapes. I have since lost the adapter and am having no luck on the web finding an 8mm adapter.

Do they no longer make adapters for 8mm? Is their any chance a VHS-C adapter might work? Is their any way I can transfer the tape and be able to make copies.

The camcorder has an s-video out connection, an a/v out connection and an Rfu Dc out connection.

You can't play an 8mm tape in a standard VCR, even with an adapter if they existed. The format of the recording is not compatable with VHS. The only VCR tapes that can be put in an adapter like this are (S)VHS-C tapes.
To get the video onto a VHS tape just play it back in the cam and record onto VHS useing the a/v out (not S-Video as this will give a B&W picture on a VHS VCR) to connect cam to VCR.

Mark.
