Know anything about bullet cams?

Hi,

My boyfriend is a paralysed sit-skier, and is after a bullet cam for Christmas to attach to his helmet/sit-ski to gather footage whilst skiing.

I don't know anything about them and wondered if anyone can point me in the direction of information/reviews about them?

He already has a Canon MVX350i, which I understand you need as a recording device.

Any help welcome!

Welcome to the forum CG

I don't know exactly what information you are after, but then again I guess neither do you . If you have any specific questions then there are a few people on the forum that use bullet cams so may be able to help. If you are looking to see what is available then This site sells bullet cams on their own or as part of a kit.
And yes, the Canon MVX350i will work with an external bullet cam connected to it - as will all the Canon camcorders with the 'i' at the end on the model number. The site I linked to above also has a list of other camcorders that have AV-in to connect a bullet cam to them, although I doubt it is a full list of all compatable camcorders.

Mark.

i actually have the bullet cam from the link posted above. i bought it after lots of research and visited the seller (i live very near him) to try out the cam for myself.

i've found it to be of very high quality and definatly worth the extra cost over the cheaper models i tested. It espsecially good for the snow as its water proof and the battery pack is specially designed to stop it the camera getting hot while being used. This stops condensation from forming on the lense from the cold mountain air. Obviously this is important if you want to use it for more than a minute or two while skiing.
