Hi, can anyone help ?! I have a Samsung VP-D230 camcorder and have just bought Pinnacle Studio Plus. The pinaccle package came with a firewire card that seems to bee successfully installed ( no error messages or exclamation marks in system monitor)... But whenever i try to capture DV from my camcorder pinnacle seems to not be able to find it.. Any suggestions I've been pulling what remains of my hair out here !

I've now had someone else check my system and the Firewire card is installed with correct drivers etc and reports properly, so the problem is that the PC des not seem to know that there is a camera attached - there is no "imaging device" listing in the system hardware list... Can anyone offer any advice please ?

Have you checked and downloaded any updates for the software from www.pinnaclesys.com ?

Also, I believe their support forum outlines cases such as yours where the DV device is not recognised.

Hopefully, the updates will resolve the problem!
