need to put on a projector display which uses two digital camcorder inputs (s-video) and one laptop input (s-video or monitor out). this all needs to be mixed down into one output with easy switching or mixing between the sources. as cheap as possible is the goal here - tight budget, £200-£300 max.

Hama used to do a basic av mixer which was designed for mixing different sources onto a record deck, I don;t know the unit that well but I suspect that as it gives you a single s-video and phono audio output it could quite easily be adapted to your use, with the rise of cheap non-linear software these units fell out of favour and could be picked up for pennies, well about £100, Keene had stock of them a while ago, could try them.

The pro route would be a pansonic mx-50, but £300 wouldn;t even get you the tattiest of used ones.

As Roy has said, they are not very common as most people these days use a PC or Mac for video editing.

With a quick look I found 2 sites selling video mixers, but they are both around £500 each Here & Here

There is a Hama Editor for £40 Here but I don't think it will mix different video sources.
