Pinhole Camera with Camcorder

Is it possible to get a Pinhole camera and attach it to your helmet and then connect it to a Sony Camcorder DCR-HC22E in your back pack?

This is for a hiking holiday and recording mountain bike routes.

The manual says that the HC22E DV has input/output via the iLink jack, so are they any of these small cameras what work with this interface?
Also if they are what about power, is that from the camcorder.

Any feedback, that would be great.

You will need to go up a model to HC32 to get a/v in to allow camcorder to record analogue signal from bullet type cam. Wont work on iLink terminal.

Thanks Lurcher for your Post

Just one follow-up question.

Can this iLink be used to copy a miniDV tape from one camcorder to another.

Also are they any accessories that could extend the funtions of the camcorder. Yes I think I should have gone for the better model.

Many thanks,

Porto.

As far as I'm aware, the iLink connection will only allow you to connect your camcorder to a computer, not another camcorder.

However, all you need to do is capture from camcorder to PC, change the tape in your camcorder, and then save from your PC back to the camcorder - I do it all the time, although the saving back to the camcorder usually happens after I've done my editing, so that if ever I need to get it back, I don't have to go through the editing process again.

You can dub from one camcorder to another using a 4pin-4pin firewire cable.
