well, as long as you pay for it with credit card you'll be fine as your credit card company will insure you - So its at least worth the try.

As long as you don't mind the hassle and delay in getting your money back from the credit card company.

thanks for all your input. I've decided not to purchase anything from this website after reading reviews of it. and as my sony laptop has decided to download a virus, only 8 months old and so much for norton antivirus, and i've had to take it to a local dealer to get it taken off (i don't know much about viruses so I thought I'd let the experts deal with it) i'm going to look for a cheaper sony camcorder, maybe something like the hc90 which i've heard is quite good too.

i think saving over £800 on retail (if it comes off) is worth the wait of a meesly couple of hundered pounds delay from your credit card company.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone that actually gets one for that price.

Normally a company would have emailed you by now stating that there is a price error ? I've heard nothing (yet) I'm not saying that I'll get 1, but there's no harm done if I dont.

I heard about someone who ordered a Sony DVD recorder from a different company about 6 months ago and got a similar email. His answering machine later had a call from the store telling them that the item was not in stock and the credit card amount had been refunded. He rang the store and they told him the model in stock was a demonstration model and therefore not for sale... sorry and all that, etc. Later that same morning, the item was delivered! How's that for a free gift?

Don't know if that company has gone broke yet!

Guess I would of got the same message if I had tried to buy it too!! Now that my computer is sorted I am back on the trail of buying a camcorder. Definitely going for the Sony HC90E but need one question answering. Does anyone know if the white balance is manual on this model. I have looked at the tech details on the sony website and all it says is "auto/indoor/outdoor/one push", so does that mean yes. I thought being able to manually change the white balance was something the majority of camcorders had these days. The sales rep in Jessops said you could, so can you?

Help!
