camcorder light

i have a sony handycam dcr-hc19e and do alot of filming at night in the dark.I have night shot plus on my camcorder but not that great at night.It PICKS UP CLOSE GOOD BUT NOT AT A DISTANCE .wHAT CAN I GET TO SORT THIS OUT.iF ANYONE CAN HELP PLEASE I WOULD BE MOST GRATEFULL.

You need an additional light

both come with their own battery and charger so that you do not discharge your camcorder battery when you use it

Can he get an Infra Red adaptor like I have on my Sony Camcorder? It looks like the ones pictured in the post above but is extra infra red power.
