Burn WMV to VCD/ DVD

Not sure if this is the right place but hopefully one of you guys can point me in the right direction. All responses welcome bearing in mind that I am a bit of a luddite

How do I go about putting wmv files onto a VCD or DVD. Quality is not that important. I am assuming that I first need to convert them to some other format ? If so can anyone recommend what to use for this?

Can import WMV, can output VCD can output DVD.
