been told it's going to cost £150 for a sony dealer just to look at my camcorder. everthing work's fine it's just the recording side of it. records sound but no picture. the screens as if your close up to somthing light grey. going on holiday soon and would like to take it with me.

do you have a small local dealer, or a Jessops, where you could take it in for some quick advice ?

been to all camera shops i can think of in my home town and even dragged my hubby to a shop 20 miles away no joy. everyone wants to charge just to take it in.if i know what i'm looking for i'd ave a go myself.nothing in the manual says anything about faults on recording.
