Hi All,

I've been looking round at the Sony mini dv tapes and found a web site listing mini dv excellence tapes with and without chips. The ones with the chips are cheaper than the withouts.

Whats the deal with chips/no chips and does it make a difference.

I am most likely going to use these in a DCR-PC1000 (still deciding but it would be mini dv format either way).
