A little help

Hello everybody,
my name is Paolo and I'm from Italy.
I've a new camcorder Sony DCR-DVD202 wich records on MiniDVD in 16:9 aspect ratio.
I've tried to use many type of discs including DVD-RW and DVD+RW.
The problem is that when I try to capture movies from MiniDVD+RW directly to PC, the aspect ratio
changes into 4:3 (and image is compressed horizontally).
I don't have any problem whit DVD-RW discs.
I've tried with both Ulead VideoStudio 9 and Adobe Premiere 1.5.
I didn't found anything in italian forums and sites, so you're my last chance to understand the problem.

Every help will be appreciated.
Thank you.

Paolo

In nearly all video capture and edit programmes you have to set the 16 x 9 ratio manually before you start capturing - it will not happen automatically.

VideoStudio 9 will capture and allow you to edit in 16 x 9 provided you select that option in "Project Properties"

Thank you for your answer Beejaycee.

Yes, I have 16:9 setted up in the project properties.
In fact DVD-RW discs are captured correctly.
But there must be something different for DVD+RW discs.
