Canon mv750i -Banding on playback

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help with a query.

Just returned from holiday and attempted to edit footage taken on Canon mv750i , however when I try to playback there is horizontal banding on the playback or just the blue default screen with the "2-spooler logo" . This is interspersed with a decent recording.

I don`t know if it`s a tape issue or the player, a bit worried as the warranty runs out very soon.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted !!!

Thanks

Bensondog

I had a 'banding' problem, intermittently, with my 730i model.
I used a tape cleaner and have not had the problem since (my Camcorder is about 5 months old).
Best of luck.

HI PZD

Thanks for the tip.I think you are right. I played/recorded another two tapes thru and this appears to have resolved the problem.

I`m a bit suprised as I`ve not used it much. Also relieved as I was browsing some threads this morning. Didn`t realise that CANON got so much stick for their camcorders.

Thanks again.
