I assume that the VCR has a scart input. If so then you need to convert the 3 phono plugs to scart with one of These. You then just need to set the VCR to the scart input and then record to VHS.

Do you mean that ? so how do you expect the VCR to receive your signal ??

On many TV's having SCART sockets only one of them has the outputs connected the other is IN only - have you checked which is which on yours

The usual way to record to a VCR from a camcorder would be to connect the camcorder to the AV in socket on your VCR and watch the picture on TV via the aerial lead or another scart lead.

Pleased to be of some help

By the way, be careful when buying the scart adapter as it will could be directional, and if you get the wrong one it wont work. The one I linked to has a switch so it will work as both an input & output of the VCR and IMO is the best version to go for.
