Question how can you copy vhs to dvdr

I have a lovely Liteon DvdR, and I want to backup my copy of an ancient video cassette, that doesn't seem to be going to be released , ever.
"gary lawsons - the farside", trouble is I am suffering from picture rolling, i guess to the macrovision, I purchased one of them macrovision scart leads, but it is a waste of space, it doesn't help, and even the dvdr doesn't want to copy, as it says the source is macrovision protected, and stops recording.

Any ideas?

I also have a pc with dvdr, but would prefer to use my home recorder (liteon)
I have the latest firmwares etc.
Regards Doomey

Get a TV card for your PC or Mac, record video to hard drive with S-video cable or aerial lead, burn to dvd :-)
