CCTV Image upsidedown!

Hi,

I recently installed a CCTV camera at home, I had to mount the camera upside down, due to location/bracket etc, is there any device which will flip the video output?, the output is scart or rca composite, any help would be appreciated.

Don't know of anything other than a broadcast vision mixer that would do this 'live', v.expensive.

Programmes like Premiere Elements (winXP) and Final Cut Express (Mac) would let you flip clips at the edit stage, if it were really important (although you would need a camcorder with AV-in to get analogue footage into such a package).

The simplest solution (and I'm not taking the pith) would be to either mount your monitor upside down, or remount your camera, if possible.

Most small cameras are mounted on a small square circuit board, these are usually symetrical.
I've had this problem before and i've been able to rotate the PCB 180 degrees.

if you're happy to open the camera's housing you might find that the camera will rotate inside the housing.

You'll probably need a very small 'watchmaker' screwdriver though.
