CinemaCraft encode to MPEG results in purple blocks

Can anyone advise?

My source material came from my JVC GR-D23. I cut it up in Premiere and when I try to encode it using the CCE basic encoder, it ends up with purple blocks all over it.

I can't figure out why. I've tried exporting my sequence as MS AVI, DV AVI, uncompressed in both cases ('to be sure') and whatever I do, it's purple blocks all over the resulting MPV.

I hope someone knows why this is, I've been googling for ages to no avail

Thanks in advance
