Angry Playback problem. JVC GR-DVL 160EK

Hi there just joined up. Great forum. Right, my problem is that my camcorder seems to record fine, but when it comes to playing it back there is just a blank screen. It came up with a message saying that the heads needed cleaned, which I did, but still nothing. I have tried viewing tapes that I have previously watched, but there is still nothing. Any ideas.
Muchos garcias.
