Panasonic NV-GS120

I have spent a great deal of time with the above Camcorder trying to transfer a full tape on to my pc to edit it in Adobe Elements,I have realised that the Camcorder has USB and Adobe has F/W, Would I be correct in thinking that you are unable to transfer DV images via USB?
If that is the case do I need a new camcorder or do you have any ideas how to transfer moving images from my camcorder to my pc to edit.
My OS is windows X/P.

your cam has a firewire connection, try under the flap on the grip side of the body.

with adobe elements (possibly the best value editing package in the world ever (TM)) connecting your cam & editing is easy
