Firewire Hub

I,ve recently bought a new computer, but it only has 1 6 pin firewire port on back. Would like front access, so would like hub.

Any sugestions, and places to buy. Also is there a simple adapter to change from 6 pin to 4 pin, as camcorder has 4 pin output.

Thanks

Jai

there are plenty of places you can buy firewire hubs - just do a search on the internet.

The adapter to change 4 pins to 6 pins is called a firewire cable - - "Standard" firewire cables have a 4 pin plug on one end and a 6 pin on the other - you do not need any special adapter.

A few firewire hub options are available from Here but as Beejaycee has said with a firewire cable plugged in the back of the PC you can just have the lead on the desk for easy plugging in of the camcorder and save yourself some money!

Basically wanted hub, because wife has iPod to connect intermittantly(via firewire), and my camcorder, without pulling computer forward each time !!
