Which Camcorder to Buy £500

Can anyone give me some advice on which camcorder to buy for less than 500. My personal preference leans toward Sony or cannon models but what other options do i have ?

I know they are all much for much in terms of still photography and i want something which is easy to connect to my pc. I have read some reviews on the sony dcrpc range andhave said they dont like the way you have to hold the dcrpc range, with it being quite thin and upright, does anyone have any opinions ?

I also will be watching what i shoot on a widescreen tv so i want a cam that can shoot well in widescreen mode.

best for widescreen: Sony HC40, best generally, Panasonic GS200.

Jessops have an internet price match offer on just now, so do a google first then handle them yourself.
