Recording to Pc from TV

Wasn't sure where to put this but I was someone could help me out. I want to record what I am playing from the tv I play the xbox on to the pc. I think I need a tv card, but does anyone recommend which one and also any other components I need.

You would need either a tv card or an analogue capture card.

TV card would be fine for an RF signal (coaxial cable, like your ariel) but you'd get better quality through a scart/phono or even s-video output into an analogue capture card (don't know a thing about what xbox outpusts there are, going by exsisting standards).

One problem you may encounter is macrovision, i.e your pc capture card or even an ordinary video will recognise the copyright protection in the signal and blank out sections of your footage.
