JVC GR-D63 Software

Hi

We have got a JVC GR-D63 and after struggling to get the software working correctly to capture video to PC, we rang JVC to get some help, they have said we have the wrong software disc and to contact our supplier to get the right one. After contacting them they told us we needed the invoice, Unforunately its a second hand camcorder and we dont have it.

There is nothing on the site for downloading the software so we are stuck at the moment. Does anyone know where we could get a copy of the software/driver from? Using WinXP Pro

Thanks
Ash

I assume that you are connecting the cam to the PC via firewire. If not then you will need to as firewire is the only connection that will allow you to get full quality video from the cam to PC.
Once connected Windows will detect the cam and no drivers should need to be intalled.
Windows XP comes with editing software called Movie Maker. Make sure you have the free upgrade to MM2 from the MS web site and you should be off and running.

Good luck,
Mark.
