help needed with jvc gr d73

can someone help me with my jvc gr d 73
i can not seam to get it to go onto my pc i have installed drivers or so i think but none of my software will pick up the camcorder what am i doing wrong.

How are you connecting the cam to the PC?
The only way to get full quality video onto a PC is with a firewire connection. Many PC's have firewire now, but older PC's almost certainly wont. If your PC does not have a firewire port then you can add them by installing a PCI card that will cost you under £10 online and this will include the cable to go between the cam and the port.
