Beginner's quick question

Hi there

Complete novice at this game.

I'm on the verge of purchasing a Sony DCR DVD 201E camcorder and was wondering if it ONLY supports Sony media or can I use other manufacturers (ie. TDK, Verbatim) DVD-RW discs with it. It seems most UK suppliers of the Sony 8cm DVD-RW discs are out of stock and I'm a bit worried this could become a recurring problem.

Any help greatly appreciated!

SVP sell the 8cm disks - they are not sony but datasafe (a half decent brand) and are 85p each (and in stock....)

....sorry - noticed you're after -RW's - these are -R's only ....
