Frame at a time

I am into stop take animation and i wonderd if all camcorders have the option to record a frame at a time any info on this would be apreciated also what is a good minidv camera for around 300 that includes the above function.

this is not going to be of much help to you but the only digital cams I have come across with stop motion are the high end ENG jobs. I have a sony dsr 250p with this function. It does about 3 frames stop motion. The only way I can think you of creating a stop motion effect would be to press the button quickly and stick it all together in post b ut that's A LOT of editing!
