Anyone any expierence with the Panasonic SV-AV100

Looking at getting the above camcorder but cant seen to find any comments from people who already own one. If anyone has any expeience I would appreciate the answers to the following questions

It includeds a 512mb memory card-How much footage would that give me?

I could download onto my good old ommnibook xe3 laptop but that has no firwire or usb2 and a p500 processor. Would it be possible?

Whats the picture and sound quality like compared to say the GS10B or any other 'standard' dig camcorder? In other words what price, apart from obviously financial, do you pay for such a lighter, smaller camcorder

Thanks

Following further research I have been able to answer a few of my questions.

The main issue remains whether or not my laptop is capable of storing clips, that I could transfer onto vcd, when on holiday for example and have SD Memory Cards been plummeting in price ?

I get the immpresion it is a great little toy, but if I dont get decent footage of the kids on holidays etc, I can already imagine the sort of grief I will be getting.....
