AVCHD editing/playback

Hi all, i am having problems with AVCHD playback & editing, the vodeo stream is juddery, slow frame rate, but the audio is fine, i have the updates for all the software i am using, my sytem details are as follows.

Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit)

Corel VideoStudio X2

Foxconn Socket 775 Motherboard (P4M9007MB-8RS2H)

Geforce 7300 GT

Intel Celeron D CPU 3.46 GHz

4.00 GB RAM (2.94 usable)

Any help or advice would be most apreciated.
