Haze picture Canon Legria HF200

Just got my HF200 and the pricture is ok. I hoped this HD-camera would preform a lot better than a SD-camera but i find the picture to be almost the same apart from the sharper image on the HD-camera. The HF200 picture i sharp but i find it to be a little haze and the colours are not that bright/colourfull, both indoors and outdoors (only tried on cloudy days). I shoot in cinema mode and have the highest picture quality. Tried vivid but that did'nt help much. Anything else I can do in the settings? Should i buy a UV/haze filer? Will it perform indoors as well?

Appreciate any help...
(I'm sorry if my english is bad, its not my native language)

cini mode dulls the colours and turns reds on the orange side, if your cam gives poor colours out of cini mode it sounds like it may have a problem, experiment with the WB settings ie auto/outddoor/manual first.

A UV filter won't improve the image as digital sensors aren't susceptible to ultraviolet fogging like film is.

If you could upload an example clip to youtube or vimeo so that we can see for ourselves, that might help us understand the precise nature of the problem.

Re: Haze picture Canon Legria HF200

Don't know if its me or the camera bit when i try to shoot in black&white mode the picture is in colour!?!? Its says b&w om the screen och the lcd-screen is b&w. But as soon as i hit the record button the lcd-screen turns in to colour and it records in colour!!!?!? Don't know if i have som settings that don't allow b&w? Its the same for sepia, art, wipe and fade. Maybe there is something wrong with my camera, or im a missing something? As i wrote earlier, cant se that anything happens when i turn on vivid.
