never got smooth results from ulead studio

i'm using ulead video studio 12 . i never get smooth video results as the source video what ever format i use for rendering.tried avi , mp4 , wmv , mpeg2 ,..... etc always the result looks like dropping lots of frames.

i have sony vegas too but the results are very good and smooth.
whats wrong with ulead?

i have 3 ghz processor and 1 gb of ram. using windows xp sp3.
