Canon XM2 - Fps Adjustment

Hi,

For my college project im using an XM2 to create a very visual efects heavy scene. I need to shoot my subject in 60 fps but i cant for the life of me figure out how to do it. Im relatively inexperienced when it comes to professional cameras but to my (possibly inaccurate) knowledge i need to increase the shutterspeed to around 1/60? am i correct in thinking that?

If anyone can tell me exactly how to accomplish this please help!

Thanks so much

The XM2 is not a pro cam JP but it does have more on cam control than most modern small consumer ones,i cant tell you how to change the shutter speed as i have not used this cam, dont you have the manual if not someone may download one for you or you could try here for more help

Hi,thanks for replying

i can get hold of a manual but i want to know whether its the shutterspeed i need to change to get the FPS up? And what Shutterspeed it would need to be set at to get 60fps?

is your cam a pal one if so they are 50 fps, ntsc are 60fps so you will not be able to use 60fps, the shutter speed is separate from fps ie high shutter speed is used on fast moving objects if good slow motion is required.
