I have an hi8 tape that have been recorded on Sharp Viewcam, i try play it on Sony Digital8 no video or sound.

Depends which Sony digital8 camcorder you are using. You need one which can handle the old (analogue) format and convert it to Digital Video. There are quite a few different models some can and some can't!
