Hi all another newbie here.
Yesterday i decided to replace my cam with a new one so went to the local high street shops for a look and ended up buying a Sony PC8 for a very nice sum of £389 as it was a ex demo (never even been powered up yet)with instructions missing.

My question is where the mic plugs in,it also says power.I take it this is for the accessory shoe.What voltage does this supply?

Reason i ask is will this power a helmet cam?That is the real reason i bought this cam as it has analogue in and if this will power one it will save messy wiring etc
