Camcorder for under £2000

Hi all,

I'm looking for a camcorder to replace a DVX-100B that had a nasty accident.
Not sure whether to just go for the same again or maybe get something else - does anyone have any suggestions?

Must-haves include stuff like XLR ins, manual settings, good 3CCD sensors etc etc, HD is of interest to me, but would rather go for a nicer SD picture for my money.

Thanks in advance!

It looks as if you will have to stay with sd for all your requirments but in this day and age i would not in a million years, hd is vastly better, and i have said before cams like i use canon HV series can make lovely films with great PQ.

the Panasonic AG-HMC41 should be available for around £2k. (HMC40 in the rest of the world)
