looking for HD camcorder for both outdoor/low light budget £1000

Hi there

I am looking to buy a camcorder - budget £1000. Ideally HD (not fussed if mini dv/hard drive etc). What is important is image quality and good for taking footage indoors (mainly of my little girl running around).

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Some one which seem to be well rated are canon hv40/ tm300

Regarding the HV range i have a HV30 virtualy identical to the hv40 the picture is very good even indoors in progressive mode the low light is fairly good for a consumer cam, the worse thing about these cams is the sound the tape hum from them is worse than any of the sony hdv cams i had before and even with my rode stereo external the slight hum is picked up, to be fair this is only realy noticable in quiet recordings. As i said the PQ is very good and there are plenty of settings to get the best from recordings.
My HV30 is in a different class to my first hdv cam a sony HC1 this cam although solidly built proved unreliable and its performance was not in the same league as my HV30.
