Toshiba Camileo S10 1080p HD 5MP Digital Camcorder, any good? or something else?

Hoping someone can help?

I've just been asked by my cousin to find her a compact video camera as she wants to get one because her daughter has just started school.

I was watching QVC the other weekend (dont ask) and saw the Toshiba Camileo S10 1080p HD 5MP Digital Camcorder.

I remember being impressed that it shot in HD, had a 5mp stills camera, was small, easy to use and seemed very reasonable in price.

I've never owned a camcorder, but was wondering if the one I've mentioned is any good?

As far as I can tell it seems to have no glaringly obvious shortcomings as it stores footage on SD card, has a built in flash for low light, has HDMI out so as you can connect to your TV, USB for PC connection. All this seems pretty good to me and the demo I saw made it look really easy to use.

Does anyone know of any major issues or shortcomings I may have missed with the camera? or is it a good buy for the money?

Seen it on pixmania at £109.

Any help or advice would be really appreciated,

Jamie
