Sony dcr-sr37 cuts out whilsts recording

Hey guys

Been having some trouble with my camcorder. I recently purchased it, its practically brand new. I had to upgrade to this from my previous sony cam because it was not compatible with vista and my new laptop...

Anywho... Whilst recording my band live (I guess lets call it 'metal') the camera will seem to record maybe something around 40 seconds then cut out. Im on stage at the time so have not been able to see what flashes up on screen before it dies...

Im thinking maybe its something to do with volume or vibrations?

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated!

thanks!

Hi, Just joined AVForums and saw your question. Did you get the problem sorted out?

Was it the drop detection function of the camera switching it off as it was detecting heavy vibrations or was it faulty?

Another option is that the battery just isn't very good and it runs out of power.
Running short of recording space?

Regards.
