Sony TRV33

I am thinking of buying this camcorder as a replacement to an old Panasonic VHS-C model. Cheapest price so far looks like £520 from AJ Electronics.

Is there a better deal to be had or should I wait till after Xmas to see if their prices drop. Not in hurry to purchase one but need it before March.

So what do you think??

I got mine from AJ Electronics (came within 2 days of ordering). They consistently seem to have the lowest price on this particular model, and I'm sure that the price could well drop before March, although I doubt it will be dramatically lower. However, if you wait until the last minute, not only could you be unlucky and find the price has gone up (not totally impossible), but you will also be losing out on valuable practice time.

great price!! I bought mine for £531 3 weeks ago from jessops and that was with a price match from aj electronics. Might be worth waiting for jan sales if you can.

Thanks for your comments.
Finally bought the SONY DCR-PC105, also at AJELECTRONICS.CO.UK, directly in shop, for £630, as Currys and Comet in Brentford did their best to avoid a price match...

I chose it for its superb finition, optic (same as TRV 33) and compact size (smaller than TRV 33, some say that handling of a small vertical camcorder is cumbersome).
I find it very robust and easy to use for such a small camcorder.

Just noticed the pantheronline are selling the TRV33 for £497. Has anyone ever ordered from them?

Ask AJ if they will price match. I have always bought from them and thir delivery and sales is absolutely top notch. Better to stick to the devil you know and all that!
