Please help!

I recently bought Panasonic HDC-TM300.

My OS Microsoft WindowsXP Home Edition version 2002 Service pack 3
My computer HP 550
Intel®Core( TM )DuoCPU
T5270@1.40GHz.

Total memory is 160 GB

The camera works all right, but there are problems with playback on my computer.
I can download files from the camera using HD Writer supplied with the camera, and files actually go to my hard disc.
However, the content preview does not show my PC and because of that I cannot play and edit files on my computer using HD Writer.
In other words, HD Writer dose not recognize my PC hard disc.
I've done the usual thing - deinstalling HD Writer, disabling virus protection to no avail.

Could anyone you please help?

Ive edited it to make sense
