Question before i place a bid

hi there before i place a bid,..is this any good?.
just for general use, something that will last a good 3 years or so.


Sony Handycam 60GB Camcorder DCR-SR37E




anything else to consider better?.

I'm thinking it would have to be pretty cheap - second hand standard definition isn't really a bouyant market.

I agree. There are a ton of decent HD Camcorders on the market in a similar price bracket. I have just purchased a Panasonic SD10 from Amazon for just over £100 more then the Sony is listed in your post but offers HD recording. The main advantage the Sony Cam has that you have listed is that it has a 60GB harddrive which will record loads of SD footage. All depends on what your priorities are. If you are quite happy with SD then Sony looks to be a decent purchase because of that 60GB drive. If you do decide to go for a HD camcorder you need to be aware that there will be a big drain on your PC or Mac should you want to edit or burn Blurays or DVDs.

Just got back from John Lewis Bluewater and noticed they had the same Sony Camcorder reduced to £229
