Avchd / avc h.264

Hi Forum

I am thinking of purchasing a JVC Everio GZ-HD300, I am new to the camcorder market and a little unsure as to the specs.

I want to capture video primararly for editing on my PC (Win XP).

Will the video files open in standard video editing suites?
