Pinnacle 12 MovieBoard, great on Fire wire! but where to get RCA sound ?

Hi Again.
I just got the Pinnicle Studio MovieBoard 12.
It has a plug in card that goes directly into your PC motherboard.

Cool huh.

It does great Fire wire captures.
So I'm pretty happy with that!

But...

Now one of the blokes at work sees it and wanted me to put a rare old vhs tape of his baby son on to DVD for him.

I'm looking for a plug in the back of the card,to plug the three RCA jack into to...and...umm...only s-video and composite.

I have my suspicions as to what is going on.

But, would any one care to enlighten me fully?

Does it not have an 3/5 inch jack?

This is the funny thing....
no!
But get this....there is a 2rca to miniplug short cable in packet with the board.

sooooooo, i'm guessing they want you to use your own sound card...

kind of like they are saying...hey...you asked for a video card...not a sound card....
what are we... a free option service.

This of course comes as a shock to anyone who has a Ulead capture card..a card with so many annoying extras that you wonder what they are up to..and will you have to include them in your will to make up for it.

This is true, at least for VHS see VHS to DVD- sound synchronisation??
these add on cards are far more useful for DV , the problem with audio capture is that it will then install as a secondary " audio card"
I have the old style Moviebox DV and thae far more advaced Breakout Box from Avid Liquid Pro which has multiple inputs and outputs but it is not a "run of the mill" device

Yes, to think about it clearly. I really wanted to edit Fire Wire with this card, and it does that with perfection.

I will just use my ulead card to do the VHS to DVD tarnsfr for the bloke at work.

It produces a pretty good result.

Back to more pressing matters...
