Question Top Cheap Camcorders?

Hello, newbie here.

I wanted to ask what is the best camcorder to get, my budget is about £120-150.
I want a camcorder that I can shoot in HD, good low light.
And smallish file sizes (and something that's easy to move over to the pc)

Anyways, would appreciate any help.

Re: Top Cheap Camcorders?

I think you have to spend 4x that amount to get a good in low light camcorder.

I've just bought the samsung SMX-c10 was £119 at Pixmania.
Its not HD and not great in low light but nothing is at that price ,but this one is small ,can reacords loads on SD card ,battery last 160 mins and is dead easy to transfer to PC

Re: Top Cheap Camcorders?

I did find a few, but I don't know what to make of them, what do you think.

These, I found in my price range:
JVC GZ-MS90
Sanyo Xacti VPC
-CG10
Sanyo Xacti VPC-TH1
Toshiba Camileo S10

Aiptek AHD300
Creative Vado Pocket Video Cam
SPEED HD-8TZ
PRAKTICA DVC 5.4

I got bored of looking for more.

Sanyo Xacti VPC-FH1 is pretty good in low light and available for less than £300.00 online

Re: Top Cheap Camcorders?

I have a Canon MD205, it is mini DV though and maybe not what you want. But for the money I can't complain, it is ok in low light, with decent light it is really quite good for the cash IMHO. Disadvantages are obviously taking longer to transfer to the PC. I am not a heavy user so I do not have an issue. Really good machine for little cash.
