Choice and desisions lol - Any thoughts please :)

Hiya Guys n Girls

Two events coming up and I want to get a decent HD Camcorder, but the list is long

I have about £650 to spend, a little more at a squeeze, so thought I would ask the question ..... any recomendations?

I do like the look of the Sony HDR SR12 (PAL VERSION) and the reviews are really quite good.

I had considered the later offerings from Sony, but the 500v and 520v both apparently suffer from focusing issues in low light, and the price new for these compared to the now price of the HDR SR12 makes the SR12 more attractive

I have to be honest always liked the Sony range of items, no real reasons behind it, just all the items I've ever had from Sony have worked flawlessly, and on the odd (twice I think) occasions where they havent, they were replaced with no fuss, so I guess I like them for this too

If you have a recommendation please let me know, I would love to hear from you

Chris

Get the Sony, unless you prefer tape, in which case try to find an HV30 (since the HV40 is probably a little too expensive).
