Just installed a new Panny E60 DVD recorder, and tried a few tests copying some old S-VHS recordings to DVD.

Very good results, even though the tapes are second generation, as they were copied from S-VHSC to S-VHS.

Now, surely if I can now copy direct to DVD from the S-VHSC camcorder tapes, the results will be much much better.
But, how much better is a mid price range Digi camcorder over a good S-VHS one?(Panasonic NV-SX50B).

Is it worth me searching for some new batteries for the Panny, or would I be better off putting the money towards a Digital camcorder?..
