Recovery of data from JVC MG36Ek Camcorder

Recovery of data from JVC MG36Ek Camcorder

Hi All, Friend's kid has deleted all video from her JVC camcorder, anybody know how I can get it back for her, I understand it should be like a PC HD in that it only removes the first letter of file name, but don;t know what to use to view and recover her files p help appreciated. Thanks

If you can get an adapter to fit the HDD to a PC, any file recovery software will do the trick. We use Handy Recovery at JVC.

thanks for the info - what type of adaptor do I need, would it be possible to just plug the whole camcorder into pc via cables or is it something more specialised?

also does anyone know the format of the files on the JVC camcorder?
Can they just be saved to another hard disc and then played or do they need to be converted ? Thanks!
