Final Cut Express 4

I am think of moving up to Final Cut Express 4 on my Mac, I now need a bit more than imovie 09. How hard is it to learn?

The interface is considerably different from iMovie. You could take a look at the tutorials on Apple's website. It's not difficult per se, just different. If you're willing to put some time into getting to grips with it, it'll pay dividends - you'll never go back to iMovie, that's for sure!

Thanks for the advice. I was wondering as final cut pro has been upgraded with express be upgraded soon. Anyone seen anything regarding a new version? Don't want to spend 100 odd pounds and its get a new version a week later!

It's the age old question: will they or won't they, and if they will, then when will they?

The Final Cut Studio update was pretty minor stuff really - it appears that more may be in store once Snow Leopard prowls onto the scene. FCE typically updates a few months after FCS.

I'd be extremely surprised if, buying now, you see a new version within a week. Still, you never know . . .
