Sanyo Xacti HD1010 - Lens thread size ?

I'm wondering if anyone knows the filter thread size on the HD1010, as I need to get a step up ring to 72mm.

I've checked the manual, and the sanyo site but doesn't come up with the answer, and google searches seem to have conflicting info.

My Sanyo HD2000, the latest upgrade of HD1010 has 40.5mm filter thread. The VPC-FH1, the box format version, has 37.0mm thread. So I would guess the HD1010 would be similar to the HD2000 with 40.5mm thread. But it is safer to try out some filters at a local camera shop to confirm the size.

Hi, I had nearly forgotten about this !

I think you are correct.
If you look at the front of the camera, it will state things like f 6.3-63.0mm and the part after the cymbal of a circle with a vertical line through it, will state what size the thread is.
In the HD 1000\1010\2000 it says 40.5
