For some reason lately, whenever i put the files into the timeline and press enter to render them, throughout the timeline, the footage has black frames every so often. If i don't render it there and leave it so the whole timeline has a red line above it, and export/render it, it exports fine.

I was also on the understanding that you should render in the timeline, though the footage is watchable.

Hope i explained that the best i can.

Any ideas why it's happening?

Quad Core Phenom rig with 8gb Ram and 9800GT graphics, so def not my PC lol.

Looking at getting a Sony HDR camcorder soon which is AVCHD, is this supported by Premiere Pro without any plugins?
