PMB EDITED FILES cant save to dvd in order they appear in file

Hi Forum members, can anyone shed some light on a problem I have with copying PMB m2ts files to a dvd.
I edit files in my PMB folder including re-naming files to appear as I need, ie. clips taken later in day renamed
(eg. file info no.s say 20090305093345(1) to appear after clip 20090305092234(1) taken earlier therfore renaming first clip 20090305092234(2). This results in clips showing in the order I require them and I am able to view as a PMB slide show in the order viewed in folder.I can also convert to WMV and view again in the correct edited sequence
Now when I try to write to DVD the files revert to the folder order before editing and the viewed clips are out of edited order. The main folder edited files remain as intended.
Any ideas out there guys? regards tg3euser.

Help needed, I am new to this game and feeling my way, so any help would be greatfully received. I hope I have explained myself clearly and that someone can understand the problem I have.

Im sorry you've had no replies
I dont use PMB otherwise I would have tried to " experiment" to reproduce the problem
Anyway,
Why not make a copy of the files on the PC then rename them in a alphabetical type order and see what happens on the PC before you burn to DVD
It may be that the reordering on PC is rearranging in order of time stamp on the files
I suspect a little trial and error will get you there

Re: PMB EDITED FILES cant save to dvd as they appear in file

Senu, I copied three clips to a folder on PC and renamed the m2ts,modd and moff files ie. a1.m2ts , a1.modd a1.moff .......a2.m2ts etc. So the files are in folder on PC in order and renamed. I then copy back, in a new folder , to the Picture Motion Browser folder in ( my documents ). I open up PMB and clips are in order required ,renamed and in a new folder , alas when I select files for video creation they appear in the (dvd creation window) in date taken order and not edited order. Is there a way to enable PMB to only recognise edited order of files? Thanks for your help any more suggestions welcome.

Re: PMB EDITED FILES cant save to dvd as they appear in file

I have since tried changing the settings of how to view files in PMB ie. deselecting date taken and date modified boxes and introducing 3 renamed clips into edited folder. This resulted in files in folder reverting to date modified order and has therefore undone previous edited order....this seems at present non reversable.
Ah well! You did mention trial and ERROR .
At least they are saved in order as WMV files... Ho Hum!
Regards tg3euser.

Re: PMB EDITED FILES cant save to dvd as they appear in file

Do you have to put them back in a PMB folder to burn to DVD?
If you are creating a data DVD you dont need PMB
This is especially for PS3 playback

Re: PMB EDITED FILES cant save to dvd as they appear in file

Eureka! Trial and Error wins the day.
Senu, as you said trial and error. I can now edit clips and create a DVD in PMB by selecting, in order, clips and dragging them into DVD ceation window from PMB window. Thereby creating an edited selection of clips in the order of viewing I require.
I expect there are those out there that wonder how it took so long to get to this point......however the supplied guide to PMB does say as
( a hint ) that if you want to add more clips to those selected to drag them into window. However it does not tell you that you can select one clip at a time in the order you require from any position in the original PMB folder. I hope this may be of help to any others out there who like me are new to this game!
Regards tg3euser.
