New Canon HFS10 /HFS100

Hi Guys,

I thought I would start ball rolling…
The guys out there have a great thread for Canon HF10 / HF100. But I could not find thread for newer Canon HFS10 / HFS100 owners. It would be nice to start sharing your experiences, best practices and settings for these camcorders.

I got my HFS100 from Pixmania for £908 with free 2 years warranty. They have this offer of -10% on and of on their website. If you interested in buying it just check them regularly. I thought it is a good deal and went for it over HF100 I have bought previously. I have a feeling they got it from France as it comes with European plug and Pixmania included UK adaptor and neck strap with it. It has CE logo and I am hoping to get £50 cash back from Canon UK. At this price point it will put even Simply Electronics in a shade…

I would love to hear your experiences and settings you use with this camcorder.

Cheers

Get a further 3% from Quidco..

Beware of Pixmania though, many people (me included) have not very nice things to say about them.

Ups I thought they are ok. What should I be aware with them?

Re: New Canon HFS10 /HFS100

They have the HF100 on the site as in-stock. Ordered one 10 days ago. after a week and 2 e-mails I get an answer from edoxa who the camcorder comes from saying it's out of stock and replaced by a new model and would I like the HF200 instead. I Asked for a refund and 2 e-mails and 4 days later still waiting for an answer and money. As of 2 mins ago the HF100 is still on the site as in-stock.

Re: New Canon HFS10 /HFS100

I bought hf100 first myself but it looked like it was not new. I guess they are end of line and are really hard to find especially new. That is why I went for hfs100 They delivered it within3 days of ordering. I am not promoting them in any way. I just want to share experiences with other hfs100 owners...

Re: New Canon HFS10 /HFS100

I bought a Japanese iVIS HFS100 on ebay for £750 - Does 24p for making bluray but it's wrapped in 60i so I had to buy CineForm Neo Scene to remove 3:2 pulldown
